MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Well let me just start my blog by wishing myself a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for all those who have forgotten. Yes just because I´m in Sweden doesn´t mean u can´t wish me happy birthday ;-)

So it is now Monday the 2nd of July (my birthday) and since I updated my blog last I have been sailing, been for my first proper motorbike ride and finally left the teenage years behind!!

So let me go back a few days to Thursday (i think that was the last time I wrote my blog). Well Thursday afternoon Lars came home from work and decided to take me out on his motorbike for a ride around the town and countryside around Mölndahl. It was so much fun. Oh and mum, Lars has promised me to take u out on the bike when you finally make it to Sweden! Thursday night, after the first family dinner (we had kötbulla (Swedish meatballs) which were awesome) with the whole family here in Mölndal which was nice, Pontus, Åsa, Martina and I headed back out to the summer house. Lars joined us there on the Friday night. So Friday it rained most of the day so we just sat around inside and watched movies. Åsa, Martina and I took Tasha (the dog) for a walk in the afternoon and just made it home before the rain came. So that was Thursday and Friday.

Saturday however the weather fined up and I finally got my first glimpse of the Swedish summer. It was beautiful. Sun shining, blue sky and a temperature of about 21C. Perfect! So after Lars and I prepared the sail boat while Pontus, Åsa and Martina went into town as Pontus had handball training and it was the only time Martina could go shopping for my birthday present without me. Then when they came back and after a late lunch, we all headed for the boat and went sailing on the archipelago for about an hour. It was absolutely amazing. Martina and I sat at the front of the boat with out feet dangling in the water (I will take a photo next time to put on my blog) looking at the sea and the islands. There were also so many jellyfish in the water which were amazing to look at. That night we had our first dinner out on the porch watching the sun set. Absolutely perfect way to end the day.

Then Sunday the Gods decided that we deserved another day of sun. So we had a beautiful day lying around in the sun....yes I am a little pink on my face, arms and legs, and now I´m just hoping it tans. That afternoon Martina and I were walking on the rocks round to the boat and both of us had a fall. I just have a bruised leg but Martina managed to hurt her ankle so we left her behind while the rest of us went out on the boat again. Man I love life here. That night Martina´s aunty and her two cousins came and joined us at the summer house. So we had a nice meal crowded around the table and that night Pontus woke me up to show me an amazing sunset. It was just gorgeous.

So then this morning I was woken up at 7am to the family coming into my room with candles and my presents. I got a famous well known Swedish movie from Pontus, a sketch of a person in a little frame from Lars and Åsa and a really cool wine glass from Martina. Oh and Martina´s grandma gave me an Orrefors glass candle holder which was really sweet.

So now have updated this Martina and I are going to go and catch a flick in town and then we´re going out for dinner tonight. I also skyped my family this morning which was nice to talk to them and get the update on what´s happening at home. But i´d love to hear from the rest of you so email me, I have my phone working so you can text me, or comment on my blog!!!!!!! Oh and GO CATS!!!!! Martina and I are looking forward to watching the dvd of their win on the weekend against the Swans....Thanks Dad!!!

So that´s all from me for now. I probably wont be updating this for about 2 weeks as we leave on Wednesday for a round trip to Stockholm for a week, then home for a day and then we´re off to Norway for three days to visit Martina´s relatives. So until next time....
